Conversation I did not expect to have while working on this image of More London from the Tower side of the Thames:
Young man sporting a vintage Rolleiflex TLR: "Pardon me, would you happen to have a spot meter I could borrow?"​
Me: "Why yes, yes, I do. I have two."​
He chose the Pentax Digital Spot, and I showed him how to use the Zone scale I had affixed. It was a fun retro moment in the midst of a digital day.

Bird strike.
I have a draft of this posted in medium format objects. I like this one much better. The nice thing about tabletop is that you can just leave everything set up and keep coming back to it. Sometimes, I will futz about with lighting for a week before either giving up or achieving my goal.
IQ4, 138HR, f16, weird tilt (some back and some front) to enhance looming and put the POF about halfway between the owl's claws and eyes
The owl is an oldie from Inuit artist Manasie Akpaliapik
