Although I agree you're not getting distracted by your gear, but for 6-7 hours I'd say your limiting yourself too much. Of course it all depends what you're trying to achieve.Shooting an entire race day, 6-7 hours, with one camera and one prime at one aperture actually works fine... most of the time. At least I didn't have to spend time wondering what gear and settings to choose

It wasn't intentional. The AF of the 80-200 stopped working.Although I agree you're not getting distracted by your gear, but for 6-7 hours I'd say your limiting yourself too much. Of course it all depends what you're trying to achieve.
I'm saying this because I feel at some point the limitation and frustration are creeping in when shooting the Oly 300/4 all day.
Really the PL 100-400/4-5.6 was not so bad in that regard ...
