Three more images from my time in Cornwall this summer. These are all from one sunrise shoot at Marazion (across the bay from my previous post) and show how the mood changed from the soft twilight with high level cloud, making way for the pink low level cloud through to the full direct sunlight on the vertical granite faces making them glow.
The standard way to shoot this location is to use the S-shaped cobblestone causeway leading to the Mount as a lead-in.
On arrival at the car park, I detected the faintest wisps of high level cloud and decided that the wind direction dictated that I head to the west side of Marazion beach and find a viewpoint there. Whilst lacking the elegance of Torville and Dean, several double toe-loops etc later I found a big friendly rock upon which I could place my tripod offering me a different perspective on the view to St Michael's Mount...
I notice that the colours of the thumbnails seem to intensify when posting to this forum, the main images are fine.
